The Numatics Direct to PLC module, or D to P module, is a great way to have distributed I/O without the cost of a serial network system.

The way it works is by utilizing unused pins on the Numatics standard 25-pin, 37-pin or 26-pin round manifold connector. By using these unused pins on the connector, a customer can now wire sensors (Inputs) or other valves or solenoids (Outputs) directly to their Numatics manifold. This significantly reduces the costs of sensor cable runs back to the main panel, as well as overall weight, wiring time, and wire connections.

The Numatics D to P module allows for 15 total I/O points (when using the 37 pin connector) and a total of 16 valve outputs. The I/O connectors are available in 12mm, 8mm and 25-pin Sub-D modules. At a significantly less cost than Serial Communications, it's the best of both worlds!
