IAI Releases new Robocylinder
Easy Automation taken to new heights with RCP2 series Robocylinder
May 5th, 2004: If you thought the IAI Robocylinder was easy to use before, get ready for a product breakthrough.

IAI America (formerly Intelligent Actuator) announced the release of their new Robocylinder, the RCP2 Series. Based on the RCP series of Robocylinder, the new RCP2 series incorporates a list of features previously unavailable as standard to customers.

The RCP2 series now allows users to program a maximum of 64 points as a standard, up from the previous 16 maximum. Before, a customer would have had to upgrade to an E-CON Controller to allow for 64 points.

The RCP2 series also allows customers to program position data directly to the controller through the PLC, using only discreet I/O. This eliminates the need for customers to use PC software or a teach pendant when programming an RCP2 actuator. Using additional outputs found only on the RCP2 actuator, operators can jog the actuator forward and backward, and turn on an additional input to teach a certain position. Machine integrators can now set up a 'program on-the-fly' feature into their controls easily, without need to program ASCII strings into their controls intelligence.
